Top Film & TV Apps Performance in Germany Q4 2024

In the fourth quarter of 2024, the top film and television applications on a unified platform in Germany showed diverse trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. Here's a closer look at their performance based on Sensor Tower's data.

Amazon Prime Video experienced a significant rise in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $1.75M by the end of December. Weekly downloads saw a notable increase in the same period, reaching 118.5K, while weekly active users fluctuated around 3.4M to 3.8M.

Netflix maintained a steady revenue stream, with figures around $130K in late November. Downloads and active users also showed an upward trend, particularly in late December, where downloads hit 119.7K and active users surged to 6.2M.

Disney+ had a mixed quarter, with weekly revenue peaking at $1.2M in early October before stabilizing. Downloads increased towards the end of the quarter, reaching 89.7K, while active users peaked at over 2.7M during the same period.

Joyn | deine Streaming App saw fluctuations in revenue, peaking at $271K in early October. Downloads were highest in early October at 80.6K, with active users remaining around 1.7M to 1.9M throughout the quarter.

Finally, RTL+ showed a peak in weekly revenue at $400K in early October. Downloads reached their highest at 102K in the same period, while active users saw a decline, ending the quarter at approximately 1.4M.
